Do you know of anyone making heavier duty ones? I looked at a set out of a buddy of mines bike that he had to replace. there really puny! He learned a hard lesson from not shifting with the clutch. Is there anything out there now?

As of 6 months or so ago, no one made any heavier aftermarket shift forks for the DS. If your running an 03 or newer then you already have the updated shift forks that bomb started using. If your running earlier then an 03 and you need shift forks order 03 shift forks. In my sig is a link. There you will find a tutorial on how to replace your shift forks along with the part numbers you need.
If your starting to pop out of second gear. STOP!!! ridding your quad until you get her fixed. Trust me you WILL do more damage. If you continue to ride then be prepared to buy everything from oil pumps, crank, piston...prolly a new center case as well. Unfortunatley the sumps for the oil pumps are part of the center case. Any way why risk it. Once you have all the parts needed. It can be done in a weekend. And 200 bucks beats the crap out of a couple grand any day in my book.

Back in the day when they didnt have the "better" forks, everyone was getting them chrio'd. You have connections for that. Too bad the so called "better" ones are also not as strong as they should be.

Eagle, I thought that 03 and newer would have the new style shift forks also but all I have seen is the old style even in 04 bikes. Looks like they are still useing old style in the new motors. When ordering them I have seen 3 different styles of shift forks from Bombardier with the latest being the most beefy. I havent had any problems out of the latest ones with race cut trannys and 125hp.
