Default Bombardier's fatal flaw???----interesting UPDATE

Sorry I hadn't replied earlier. Computer problems. Anyway, manufacture date ws 7/2003. And we can add a couple new probs. The rod was also bent - only slightly, but enough to cause the new domed piston to hit the head. Luckily this was caught prior to firing the engine. Of course, at $700-$900usd, it's an expensive little bend! Also, some of the ring had worked its way into the engine which had to be split and flushed. Once we get the new rod, we're going to cross our fingers and hope not to find any more!
