I traded my 400 for the new 800 yesterday afternoon. Got to ride for about an hour in the dark, came back in with bugs splattered on my glasses like I'd been out on the street bike . Didn't top it out completely since it's new, but ran it up to the 60-65 mph range several times. Cruising down the old local jeep trail, a tap on the throttle at any reasonable speed lightens the front to smoothly skim over holes, ruts, etc. There is nothing bulky or awkward feeling about this machine. It's nimble, responsive, quick, fast AND comfortable. When I had the '04 700 Sportsman I thought it was a strong & comfortable machine, but this 800 Outy puts it to SHAME. I think this new 800 is to the sport/ute class what the original DS was to sport quads - the most torque and horsepower available off the showroom floor WITH great comfort and handling to minimize rider fatigue no matter how aggressive, or conservative, the rider chooses to be.

I drove 700 miles to pick mine up and it was well worth the trip. It is a yellow xt and seems to be extremelly well built but only time will tell. So far it has performed flawless and will hit 70 mph very quickly.
We will be at the Utah atv Jamboree and that will be a good test for it

I will be looking for you at the ATV Jamboree in Richfield. There isn't even a Outty 800 to see here in Utah yet. I called yesterday and they said 2 more weeks. How come some of you guys have them and we can't even get one to look at?

I rode with one last night. A buddy picked one up. I have the Sportsman 800 with 14" xtr's and stock. We lined up and he hit 60 so fast, like I gave him a head start or something. This bike is super fast and very comfortable. I think I might be looking into this bike. The Polaris has a lot more storage options and the quick connect is fantastic but man is this bomb a nice bike. Oh yeah he paid 8999.00
