Default Steering Stem Bearing (bottom)

How did you manage putting in the new bearings? Also what really had me scratching my head is how do you replace those two O-Rings? Do you stretch them over the top of the stem?

Yes, you just stretch the o-rings over the stem.

well....i never took my entire stem out just lifted it up about 9 inches from the bottom. To put the new bearing in i just put it in between the two washers at the bottom of the stem and clamped it together with there bolts but everytime i did this the bearing jammed 1 way or the other...just took allot of time.

the bearing will jam from sede to side yes... a hammer is a good convincing tool, just try to keep the bearing flat as you tighten it, and then tap the top of the stem to help the bearing press evenly into the flanges... works in the end, but still takes some time and patience...
