Default Traxter gear ratios and tire selection

Does anyone out there have info about Traxter gear ratios??? I have an '05 Traxter Max that came new wearing 25-8-12 front and 26-10-12 rear tires while older Traxters had 25's front and rear. I have a riding partner who just bolted on High Lifter Outlaw 28's front and rear on his '01 Traxter and all I can say is that is awsome in the mud, but his machine came with 25's front and rear also. I know I should not worry about a small difference due to slippage offroad, but if BRP did change ratios in the rear and one fails to account for that when going to a larger tire, could one see greater tire or drivetrain wear esp. while riding rock areas ???
