My second harescramble
#1
I entered my second harescramble with the ds and placed 2nd out of 8-10 atvs mostly predators a 400ex and a banshee. Very technical track this time compared to the first race. A lot of woods riding and very twisty could only go in first and second gear alot of the time. The track was a 14 mile course and you had two hours to do as many laps as you could. I did three laps in about 2hrs 20 min. just a guess though. The official times will be posted later on the website xcriders.com. All in all It was very fun. I wish we had more races up in my area.

Cool ! That is great.
My races are a lot of low gears, too. It is important to have good low and mid range power. I achieved the gain in low end with MrHP end cap. Now that is too loud for our new rule of 96db so I am trying out a different set up thanks to a forum member, Chicknhawk.
14 miles is a good and long course. Ours vary from 6 to 14 miles. You will be scored for only 2 laps I would think. It has been subject of many debate in our club. You have 2 hrs to go around as many times as you can. At the 2 hr mark the "race" is over. So if you were passed or passed at any point after the last scoring stop, it doesn't matter. So if you were in 10th place after the 2nd lap and during the 3rd lap 2 hrs had passed when you were only half way through the course, but you passed everybody to be in first place when you got to the scoring line, you will place 10th.
So whatever place you were in after 2 laps is where you will place.
How did you feel after 2 hrs and 20 minutes of WFO?

I was very sore. My legs where shaking so bad from holding on I could hardly stand afterwards. I got a blister on my throttle hand from holding on so tight. But it was still alot of fun.
