It wont hurt chrome on metal, but Ive had it eat chromed plastic before.

 

i keep a spray bottle of super clean in my shower. that stuff is the s#@t prolonged skin contact is bad but it gets oil. greece funkey stuff off anything use a spray bottle for more control.

 

Same as oven cleaner which you can now get at the Dollar Tree..........nasty stuff but will clean ANYTHING. I worked in a bakery that had this off white floor that was absolutely impossible to get clean. One day I accidently spilled some oven cleaner on the floor and it turned almost white LOL. I bet this purple cleaner has similar compounds as oven cleaner.

BTW, I live near Sac, where else do you ride? I've kinda grown tired of Prarie City...........Had a couple of gnarly crashes out there as well.

I found that by spraying my quad down with WD40 helps cleaning a LOT.

 

When I was working at brand H my boss had grown tired of buying "expensive" cleaners to wash new bikes...so he showed up with a bunch of that purple tarnish or whatever its called...he gave it to the lot boy who washed and stored a brand new VTX1800 as he was told...the bike had already been sold so when it was pulled from the warehouse for pre-delivery inspection...well it took me and the boss 3 hours of polishing from front to back.
