I am in the process of changing the splined shaft that pulls the clutch in/out due to the original breaking off a tooth. I didn't pay attention while I was dissasembling it and wanted to ask those that have changed theirs what order do the washers go? I reassembled mine the way I thought it should go with both washers on the inside and it seemed to have to much side to side play. I tried it with one washer on each side of the bearing and it seemed better is this the correct way to assemble it?

If you are talking about the shaft that is on the pressure plate, which is the only one that has washers on it. Both washers go on the inside of that actuator. I have noticed though the replacement actuator doesnt fit like the factory one it is a little looser. But they havent givin me any problems so far.

thanks for the reply. I thought that was the correct way but like you said it seemed loose. Do you remember which direction the washers went? They seem to be dished. I don't know if they were originally flat and bent from pre-load or if they are designed this way.
