Eaglecollector:

I've got a set-up for the dual FCR's.

When I got AZ's old bike they were in the "Fun Box" (box that had all kinds of extra goodies)

A couple 10" ish long pieces of tubing with connections on one end for the FCR's and on the other end some long **** K&N's. I think Al was trying to run something like this set-up???

DuneMe:
When you say it's a couple lengths of 10"ish long tubing. Does that mean their straight tubing? Wouldn't I have to cut the frame to use them then? Are you interested in parting whith them? or are you using them? If you are will to part with them how much ya figure their worth? If are using them yourself can ya give me some details like K&N numbers, Tubing diameter, And what was used for connectors at carb and filter. Thanks

I talked to Elliot today. His is sending me a new tube to dyno. I will try it on the TM45 and TM48 to see how it does. I figured to Dyno it against the stock tube and filter on the carb.

Straight lengths.

I think some minor cutting of the subframe was involved (less weight)

I'll take a look on the K&N Numbers. I know Al wasn't able to find the numbers I gave him but, I can give you the dimensions.

Will you be at Dumont for Thanksgiving? I could bring things out there.

I'll have to figure out what they are worth and let you know. I've been running the Uni set-up on both twins and plan on staying with that. Unifority is just easier these days.

That would be cool if you could bring them with you on Turkey Day. Although we have been kicking around the Idea of trying Glamis this time. Not 100% yet. But would like to see all the stupidity once before Im to old and slow to get out of the way
Either way I would like to try something besides the clamp on uni's. It's such a mess when removing and installing. Maybe im just using to much uni oil or something...

its a good looking item, but I sure can't see it doing anything for performance. maybe it will, but I'll be surprised. the whole concept talked up for years about the stock tube is the taper from such a large filter opening being funneled to the carb size acting as a velocity stack. this new ceramic coated metal tube is straight, no taper. yes it did a good job on the YFZ, but consider the airbox setup on the YFZ stock and you can easily see the flow gains. if the YFZ had the frame space for a longer tube with taper, it may do even better.
very curious of THEBOM's dyno results, as he will undoubtedly give us the facts.
