The dealer told me my computer is shot and wants $2000.00 to fix its brain, does anyone have an alternate solution. Can you bypass it or go aftermarket or maybe put this thing out of its misery. Any help and or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

It is quite possibly shot sambo

Mind you, however, there is no 'fixing' the computer 'brain' in your four wheeler. I've been an etech before. After purchasing my piece of junk Bomber (they all are) and my computer went sour, I tried fixing it myself.

They fill the insides of their cdi's with silica glass shards bonded by RTV. They will cut you bad if you try to fix it. I'm not sure if they did this because broken shards are cheaper than little glass *****, or, they planned on making sure no one could look at the computers of their rides without tearing them up. In any event, one thing is for sure,

You can make the repair yourself (easily) and it will save you a lot of money. The part itself is probably around 500 dollars, but I'll look it up to be sure if you like.

FYI. Bomber bases its rep on something that it has nothing to do with, notably, the engine. Its made by rotax, and its great. Just about every other part on my quest 650 XT is a failure. If I were you, I'd ditch your traxter and by something by honda or yamaha.
