I have found that Delta is 31 miles from the dune area, and I come from a small town of 8,000 and Delta is smaller then we are. wow. If anyone has any good hotels they know of in that area it would be helpful. I am going to keep looking...

 

Also, anyone know the best and fastest way there from Reno?

 

From Reno, take the road to Sand mountain Nv, then just stay on that the whole way into Utah. I would choose to go to Nephi also if your going to hotel it. It will take about 25 minutes from the dunes.

Strange thing I noticed when looking it up on mapquest. From Las Vegas, Delta is 70 miles closer than Falon NV. I would expect that 70 miles is about an hours drive. According to mapquest, Delta is 3 hours and 15 minutes closer! WOW!

That makes it alot easier for the guys from here that plan to go.
