how will larger/heavier mud tires affect my ds?
i currently run 20in. 4ply razr's on the rear of my ds. i have had alot of trouble with them clogging up in the mud and trouble climbing hills due to wheel spin. i am thinking about getting some 22x11x9 deestone swamp witch's. these tires are available for pick up close to my house for 87.00 a pair. they are 6ply. these tires have some serious tread that looks like they will be great in the dirt and mud. anyone ever used these and how will the increased weight affect power. thanks in advance guys

depends on what you are doing... You should definitely feel a decrease in power moving to the muds from the razers. That said, you'll want to offset some of the and specifically the size with different gearing. Go one tooth less in the front from what ever you have on there now. I'm going to assume that you have a stock 16 front sprocket. A 15 might do nicely. Might even suggest a larger rear to go along with that.
good luck, and don't get stuck. A DS is heavy enough without the mud caked on.

yeah you will definately need to change to a 15 tooth. i was running the stock osthsu or whatever 03 baja came with, and i was always tappin the limiter, so i figured i'd go with some 22" strykers mainly because i wanted something with a lot of lug. i felt a major decrease in power. stock i could barely hit 6400 rpm, then with my upgrades now i can break 7k. so u need to drop a tooth atleast

Man, you need MudMachines! Try, just try em! You'll love em! Buy the 10inch rim size tire with rims, and you'll be very close to stock wheel weight. With 250% more traction! I swear ! The extra height will help a ton in the mud too, my DS can go through some serious mud with these tires. No lie. They really grip, in all conditions. You will love them, i promise. Try em, you'll see. Check my pic's if you wanna see em'.
