222 told you exactly what was wrong. Too rich due to significant pipe change. Restrict flow and increase pressure: too rich. Open up flow and decrase pressure: too lean. I wouldn't waste time and money at a dealer. Lectrons seem like if they arent' perfect, they will flood, and dealers don't mess with carbs unless stock cv's usually. Follow his instructions, as well as directions on their site and you will get it right. You might need one of those adjusting tools. The link has a good picture of it, but HPR has them too (but not pictures).

Good luck, carbs are a bitch, but you have the best support available.

Any ideas on how that could be possible since we normally reduce fuel when we restrict airflow?..........Yet Randall is suggesting increasing fuel after restricting airflow........

Im gonna go out on a limb here and say that POSSIBLY the more air velocity at a higher rate of speed through the carb is pulling more fuel through carb as well. Just my guess but I dont see how that would be a good theory if the PJ would still be such a small jet and not running big air through as well at high rpm. I havnt had experience with the duall PJ or I could try and help with the jetting up top. Still seems lean w/ 30 pj and other closed. Bigdaddys LOVED the 120pj with higher flowing head. Ill bet with one of them heads and a light weight piston and dualls on alky would be a 70 mph bike at Dumont..... in my chassis.
BUT, If you are only running stock cdi its ruining your top end jetting, MAYBE.

2big. Something is up.... When I put the 130 pj in (Ninja, it was a 130) my adjustable worked best at 1/2 - 3/4 out. I liked that setting because the adjustable had a lot of room to play. Remember that after about 2 - 2 1/2 turns, the adjustable pj is not doing anything. I had virtually the exact same setup.
I would at least try and do what 222 advised. Mario is right, my sled loved that setting. for you to be closing off both PJ's.... it aint right. Go back to the first square and go again.
Again, if you have a micrometer.... give us a length. I'll tell you exactly what mine is and that should give you a REAL good ball park.
The crust that you talk about shouldn't be from fuel. Smell your oil..... just work with me on this one. Does it smell like fuel? Is your bike smoking at all. I mean white/blue smoke??? Just roll with me for a minute.....

Wow! BigD you were running close to 200 on your powerjet if I understood you correctly because the adjustable is good for 120 by itself.....
That is interesting. Mine works best on the coast at 90 on the fixed and about 1/3 out on the adjustable and my metering rod is a touch fat.

Im a little late on this one but Im running 35 on the powerjets (25,10) rev limit @8900 with the vortex. On the dyno is ran right around 13 and change on the air/fuel.(cant find the sheets). Im seeing alot bigger PJ jets here, Dsnut is at 90. Im wondering what makes the difference in jetting? Porting? Ron and I are running similar setups so why would there be such a difference in jetting? It seems like the slightest change effect jetting. This might be a dumb question but by lightening the rotating mass, is that going to effect the jetting? Motor will rev faster under less load. Seems like it would effect it. Sorry a little off your topic.

heres what 222 said kink off the power jets and see what it does. if it runs the same then we have the wrong needle in there, he said we might need to swap out the needles so that we can tune the bike with both pj. i am also running only a 30 or 40 in my first 730. as far as the black tar stuff on the plugs, any ideas. they were fresh plugs with about 5 hours on them.
