$150 worth of difference??? Serious, I am considering having this done and not sure if it's worth the cost. I don't plan on a bigger carb for a little while so let's say a year to a year and a half. Will it be wortht he cost? And especially if the head is not ported to match?

I can honestly tell you that I DID NOT do the intake by itself. But did notice a difference when I installed it. I guess this is another thread of is it worth the $$$$$,

Keep in mind this is all like plumbing. The factory intake is a restriction from the factory. Not HUGE but it is a restriction. Later as you open up other "pipes", each area will then flow even more as you go. It all has to end up matching what your building high RPM power or low RPM power. I would say that the stock intake would be the first step and safe step.

Yes it is worth the $150 to let HPR do it. I've run it on a stock carb and the first thing you notice is that the motor wants to rev quicker. Its a bigger bang for the buck than a CDI in my opinion.

The neat thing about the DS iintake is that any one with a good porting background in four strokes can do a good job, I got mine done for $75 here local and there was a big diffence from stock, than add a carb, and Zoom Zoom Zoomm!

crazyds, if you have the stock pipe yet theres another little thing you can do for very cheap. the stock exhaust gaskets are like restrictors in the exhaust flow. call ron wood or pm thebom or mrhp. they are copper washers. 4 nuts and a free port job!!
