problems still?
#1
i few weeks ago i posted about my underpowered 03 ds with 50 hrs on it. I narrowed the problems down to incorrect jetting and a bad cam chain tensioner. So, i rejetted with the complete dynojet kit. ( 195 jet, uni filter, no lid, hmf slip on lower than 2000 feet) but in the process, the adle air screw on the carb would not turn and it striped. Now, the bike will not idle (i am assuming that the idle air screw needs to be fixed to set it right) and the slap-slap noise from the head has not gone away even though i replaced the tensioner when i noticed that i had an inch of slack in the chain with the old tensioner.. But here are my questions... is there an easy way to get the idle air screw to trun? or to remove it? and is the noise i am hearing in the motor normal ? ( i had a suzuki tl 1000 sportbike that always had a noisy valvetrain) i mean the noise isnt that bad, but i can hear it and i am just under the assumption that a motor with 50hrs on it should be mostly non-noisy.
