Default chain question

I know how to tighten my chain my question is how tight is too tight. I noticed some of what i think is premature wear on the rear sprocket. How long should the rear sprocket last, hours, moderate trail riding? How tight is too tight.
Thanks

You want approx 3/4 of an inch travel in the chain while your sitting on the bike.

Default chain question

What is the simplest way to tighten the chain? Does a link need to come out? Or is there an adjustment on the bike itself? And if so where is it?

Default chain question

To loosen or tighten the chain you must loosen the two bolts on the rear of the swingarm and place a screwdriver in the hole in the the rear sprocket mount through to the bearing carrier then pull and turn to make the oval (bearing carrier) move closer or further (loosening or tightening the chain).
