I also like the idea...the battery on the side of the subframe looks like crap to me. Is there anyway to mount it under the seat while keeping the airbox intact? or does that require a entire new airbox such as a alluminum one?

What other methods? I really like how roost had his, but am afraid to lay the battery on its side, as we already had one of ours leak. The stupid thing was brand new, and was probobly just a fluke. But not worth the risk as far as I am concerned at this point. A little bit of a box or something hanging down would not look that bad I don't think.

I also like the aluminum box that was made to put it up front. That looks good, and served a good purpose. Weight you have to have, might as well get it in the right spot
Dragon I would not lay the stock battery on its side... I don't know if its sealed but I just wouldn't. I'm running the pc545 on its side under the seat... still no pics, I'm lazy.

There is not enough room with the stock air box, I've seen it done with the aluminum one (I don't know who makes it), but I made the switch because of your first comment.... "the battery on the side of the subframe looks like crap to me." It looked really bad after I cut my rear fenders. Good luck

Yes it is sealed. Its a dry cell, I don't know if thats different. I've been running mine on its side all this season, no leaks, no power loss. Who is your battery guy? He should have a look at the Odysseys.

I have my battery and air filter under the seat in a custom made box. I have all my electronics in there also. I had outer wears custom make a velcro cover for the lid. Very happy with it. I cut the stock mount and frame tube off.

Check my pics.
