Default Front Tires

Just curious what the opinions are with a taller front tire. For instance, would a 23" front tire handle the trails better than a 21" front tire?? Assuming that with the 21" front there is a 20" rear and with the 23" front there is a 22" rear. Anyone have any opinions??

I run the 23" ITP Holeshot HD's in front and the 22" ITP Holeshot XCT's in rear. It is a great handling and very durable tires. Also with the bigger tire you get more ground clearance. All I had to do is drop a tooth on the front sprocket and they work great.

I run the 23 & 22 razr's. I went to the 15 tooth also. Handles different than the stock in many ways. These hook ALOT and you feel taller. Dont try any high speed turns on the black top ( did that once! ). Its a must for ground clearance, it will blow you away at what doesnt go "clunck" under the axle. Also tuning your springs for your weight will help lower the center of gravity enough to make you loose that little bit of seat height you gained with the tires.

how exactly do you position yourself on the quad with the tall tires around fast turns?

Its not much different than with the smaller tires, just on blacktop (steets) you need to chill out in the corners or you will flip easy with the 23". Its not really an issue because I hardly ride on the roads other than test rides.

I dont ride my DS like most MX YFZ guys do........we all should know what I am talking about here. The DS is heavy and I use the power to slide ( I do try to lean in the corners but its not as effective on a DS compared to a YFZ or MX type quad).
