I walked past this filter at auto zone and liked the design how the tip of the filter had flow un like the K&Ns ive used (and it was huge and fit perfect).. Since I run an HV carb I figured the more flow I could get the better. I have only been able to get my 48mm to idle good when rich on the bottom and she never gets hot enough... Even on the dyno we couldnt get it hot enough without nuke-ing out the garage while letting idle and trying to get the temps up near 170+..

I put this filter on with a connector that goes from bigger to smaller (smaller toward the carb). The bike revs fast and high without a hitch now and gets up to 170 alot quiker. Of course its a little leaner all over that can be played with. With the other K&N It reved high but had a stumble, It doesnt any more. I will dyno the two next time im at the dyno. This filter is about double the size of the old one. The throttle response is better and smoother but I will test further.

Look at pic #10 and 14.

LOL, Dont worry, you can fit a sneaky pete in the middle of it and still get enough flow. It also has a tap in the adapter for the juice line.

Nope only about 1 -1/2 lb heavier. Like I said, I am just tryin stuff. With such a high flowing pipe I thought she needed more air.. Hey at least it got rid of the hickup I had in the rev...
