Default piston install???

okay so far i've only had about 30 mins to work on it, so i got the front plastics off, then took off the gas tank, this morning i only was able to get the cover off where the cams sit. i've been checking clearances and such, and i cant really see where i would need to notch the frame to get the head off, i figure i'll take the intake off and it should pop right off, can anyone direct me to where i need to notch the frame because i cant see where i would have to.

Default piston install???

Update, i finally got it done. wow it took probably a full 8 hours of working to get her done. ran into some problems with the top intake bolt, nasty little bugger, headers were a pain to get on. notched the frame, we mostly just took our time to make sure everything went together smoothly. i fired her up tonight to make sure it ran, took it for a quick spin down the road to make sure there were no leaks, and no funny sounds and such, it ran great. i never cracked her down or anything, im gonna wait till tomorrow to fully break her in :-)

Default piston install???

this is kind of a dumb question but would the higher compression piston require some carb adjustments?

Default piston install???

okay she was running perfect today, actually got to drive it for about 30mins. i ran low on gas and i had to go home with it (3 miles) so only thing i could do was put about 1/4 gallon of 87 in it. i know it was not a wise decision but i need to know if that is whats causing my problem. so i put that little 87 in there and get going down the road, and 2 miles down the road it bogs like no other. so i downshift and rev it up and it is good again, then it bogs and keeps bogging i was acutally scared it was locking up, but i got it home and checked the oil, it was full but seemed like heat was coming out of there or smoke. whats the problem?
