New Outlander not worth the price

Like someone said there's the best, and then there's the rest.
I've noticed it's alway the people who didn't buy the Bomb that try to cut it down, while the people that drive one call it money well spent.
Troll.

In Calif we pay 8.25 tax and I got mine OTD for less than 9k. Just got back from 5 days in Utah Hurricane area. The bomb did everything it was asked to do and never missed a beat. Going down a dirt road at 45, give it a little more and watch the roost. Over rocks, down the washes, up the mud hills, the suspension works. This is a buy it and ride it quad. Overpriced? so is my house. It is the best quad out there.

best 8600 ever spent, would do it again and again and again...there is nothing like knowing you have the best! plus 5 yr warrenty didnt hurt

I rode my friends Honda Rincon and will have to say that bike handles much better then my 800. Stearing was super light and it rode better over small imperfections then mine. If you had to ride a bike flat out for 8 hours thru the woods then that would be the bike to have. It's to bad Honda put a lawnmower engine in that thing, it has no power.

You have to look at from a like model vs like model stand point. The Outy 800 standard 1 seat model list for 8599.00 and so does the Polaris 800. You might think to your self that hey the polaris has nice wheels at that price, but then again the polaris is really 760 and 40cc's short of the Outy's true 800cc engine. Now that said Polaris charges $700.00 for the 70 some odd cc's difference in there 800efi (760) vs the 700efi (687) Thats about 100 bucks for every 10cc's more than the lesser model. If you realy compare them apples to apples you are getting a better value with the outy vs the polaris. The Outy also has a standard 3 year warranty that right now you can get an extra 6 month tacked on if you bring in a cupon.
Now if you compare it to a Kawasaki 750i Brute it list for 7599.00 and has only a 6 month warranty and is over 50cc's short of the outlander. The kawi also has just plain wheels just like the outlander. A kawi dealer will charge you at least 4 or 500 bucks for a 3 year extended warranty and kawi gets about 50 bucks for every 10cc's extra over a lesser model. The 650i is 500.00 less than the 750i brute. So if you take the 50cc difference x 50.00per 10cc's you have another 250.00 narroing that gap. Now that we have broke all that down into values you now only have about a 250.00 differnce in the 2 machines. The Outy uses radial tires on all models and the kawi is on bias ply tires that most owners will tell you you should change not only the tires to radial tires but also change the wheels to get a an improved offset to stabalize the handeling of the machine. If you were to buy the radial tires as most fokes will agree the Brute needs you will spend at least that 250.00 to get like tires on the brute. So when you really look at the machines and what you are getting the Outy is not over priced it is just packaged differnt just like the Polaris and the Brutes are packaged different.

Who compared a Rincon to an Outty? Give us 50 push ups j/k
The honda rincon inho is a half tailed attempt at a quad. I had one. Broke three frames so now I am back to Outtys. Rincon = $$$ for a frame try 1300 and two days everytime changing it.

there are 2 types of people complaining about the outy, those who cant afford it but want it(which is understandable) and those who got talked into something else by a smooth dealer and now are stuck with an inferior machine...sorry
i will let you ride mine
