What type of tires are you running, and look at you tack and see if its around 8k, thats what its supposed to do, and are you going against the wind?

 

I just got back from a beach ride on my 800, their was a yellow xt that wheelied about 1/4 mi. I have the outty max the big one and i cant wheelie because the wheel base is 10" longer. when i accelerate on pavement i can feel the front get light and it does move out. but no wheels up.I think some of us might be expecting too much from our machines.

 

i have no pic's of the wheelies my 800 does but i ride with 1 other guy and my wheelies are usuall when i bring her home (alone) and im holding on for dear life cuz its nuts. feels like im going over. awsome low end but top end is or seems to be slower than average on most but im no tech and its at the shop so i hope it gets another leg. the need 4 speed!!!!!!!!!

 

The speedo isnt a major problem, what it is that at breakin some metal particles attach to the speedo sensor, just a simple matter of wiping it clean, its magnatized and picks up small metal particles. its about a 10-15 min job to fix.

 

The only thing the dealer can do is adjust the valves.

I could not do wheelies when my xt max was new, but now that it has 700 km on it, there is no problem at all. You just have to find testured pavement or concrete for the rear wheels to grab traction or hard packed gravel road and you can lift the front end up for as long as you have *****.

 

That was a special factory motor that put out 90 hp.
