Default The Worst Crash!!!

Last year when we went to St. Anthony, the youngest fell asleep as we were getting ready to go out. I told the wife to go without me and I would stay with the kids, well after sitting there for about 20 min or so I got tired of watching everyone else leave camp so I had a friends wife listen for the little one and went out by myself on my xr600. Everything was going good until I was heading back, I was on top of this dune and knew that there was a razorback shortly. Well like a dumba$$ I was haulin across this dune when the bottom dropped out and me and my bike dropped about 30-40 ft to the bottom, landed on the front wheel and I bailed, the bike did a complete flip and landed on the rear fender bending the exhuast and sub frame. As for me I had a little scratch on my right leg and a stiff neck for a couple of weeks.

Default The Worst Crash!!!

FIRST real ride on my new Outlander two years ago, a week old......hit a dip going too fast, went on to two wheels, got tossed off, quad flipped over. I got up, turned it back on all four wheels, looked totaled. I had a pretty well scraped up forearm, jammed shoulder and badly bruised backside/thigh. Wrapped up my forearm, popped 4 ibuprofin and rode the rest of the day, could barely crawl out of bed the next morning. Quad ended up being OK, replaced some plastic and fixed some deep scratches no problems since.

Flipped my DS, have zero memory of what happened or how it happened. We were kind of casual riding and next thing I remember is asking my buddy if my quad was upside down, his response was "mike, you've asked me that at least ten times the past hour are you OK"......I was out cold for half a minute and have zero memory for about an hour after I came to. Concussion, two broken ribs, jammed shoulder and bruised right butt. My A** still has a numb spot from that one. Scared the crap out of my buddy, probably should have gone to the hospital.

I am still not gonna post about myslef. I know those will come out from someone else since I am picking on others. But dragon and myself had just traded in our quads for dirt bikes. Now keep in mind this was like 15 years ago, but still the same. We had just brought home the dirt bikes and we had a killer track set up around our ranch. Dragon went down in the creek and came up to jump the bike. well needless to say he took it a little to fast for his first jump on the thing and as soon as he was in the air he blanked out. Him and the bike feel to the ground.
To this day he will still tell you all he remembers is hitting the jump and leaving the ground and then waking up on the ground with his bike.
Now I wasn't much better. I was only like 6 years old at the time, but I went to stop my bike and was going to use the three rail fence to help hold the bike up. I didn't get turned enough and ended up hitting the fence instead.
All in all neither of us got hurt, but I am able to laugh at mine and and am not so sure about him.

Ok you ratted me out now its my turn. I remember a bit of a problem on Banshee hill between the trees. You should'nt be bird watching when climbing that hill. I also remember an incident with BIG D the same trip. You guy's have the same crash styles, uphill over backwards Still nobody has topped Marky's roll over last summer. I think the whole crash took over a minute. I think he still swears he was just checking the polish job on the bottom skid plates.

Ok, well I am not gonna give anything up on myself because there are a few of you out there that I know will do that for me, so instead I am gonna pick on scatter to start this off. Out at winchester bay, or and we are all lined up for a hill race. Well about 5 to 10 feet from the top there was a little whoop. Well we all had been hitting and but you had to make sure to slow down a little before that. Need less to say Scatter forgot to let off of the botton and hit that whoop and he went flying. Right on the side of the bike. No injuries, but it did look pretty cool from down below as him and his bike were laying on there sides. Nice shot Scatter. Moral......DON"T FORGET TO LET OFF OF THE BOTTON

LOL saw a guy on a banshee do that last labor day @ winchester. About 7 quads lined up for a drag at the second big dune in the back of winchester and one of em got ejected off of his 'shee about 1/3 of the way up the dune. Funny thing was he just got ejected up hill over front right of the quad at full speed, both tumbled up hill seperately, lucky for him. Never saw that happen with a quad before.

The funniest reck I ever saw was out at the riverbed by my house we were doing the local sand drags and this guy shows up with a alchohol banchee with nitrose this bike was awesume. He lined up with a couple other alchohol banchee's and we were all watching him to see how much the nitrose would help he took off and hit the nitrose and the bike shot out from under him like he was tied to a bumper of a truck and as he came off the footpegs ripped both of his shoes off and his bike went down the track in gear about 10 miles an hour while he sat on his butt on the starting line with no shoes I fell on the ground I was laughing so hard.
