If E85 could be used as a performance fuel it would certainly help distrobution. With wider distribution, people could run it in their Flex Fuel vehicles already on the road, and thus things go forward. Not to mention if people research using it as a performance fuel, they may discover ways to get more power and or efficiency out of it as well. Maybe there would be an add on or just a new engine design for E85 that could take advantage of newfound technology.

All of our best technology for every day use in vehicles comes out of racing - they push the limits a lot farther in racing (as we know with ATVs) and the development done there is what brings home the cool gadgets and technology on next year's automobiles.

Just for kicks:

Does anyone know what the difference is between an "Engine" and a "Motor?"

It is pretty simple once you know the difference. You'll likely never refer to an engine as a motor again knowing it!

An Engine is any internally combusted device. A Motor is electrically driven.

The term motor is all-inclusive. Engine is a sub-set of motor.
In other words, all engines can be motors, but not all motors can be engines.
It’s perfectly proper to say, “I broke a rod in my motor last night.” Just as proper is “I broke a rod in my engine last night.”

But it is not proper to say “the engine in my refrigerator burnt up last night.” It is proper to say “the motor in my refrigerator burnt up last night.”

A motor can be electrical or internal combustion or many more. An engine is typical internal combustion only and not electrical.

Rocky - I'm with you man. I really don't think gas prices are that bad. The rest of the world has been paying this much and more for years. And they have waaaaaaaaay less money than any of us.............on average

I think unleaded is over $5.00 per gallon in Europe....................

Hmmm, you guys must work right besides your work. You can have my monthly fuel bill this month. Two trucks, two pieces of equipment = $1500 this month alone. Gas prices are rediculous. Its the major cause of all price increases. Nut, better check your electrical bids, 250' of 12-2 romex just went over $100 bucks a roll. Two years ago it was 18 dollars. Copper shortage my ****, it all comes back to fuel. You must have a good stock in Exxon.
