Pricing for Renegade is here!!!

not to insult them, but the family bought it with the help from some financial institutions recreation was something they like to do so it hit home and they bought it. they believed in it. nothing wrong with that, its kinda admirable. But no one was knocking down their doors to buy it.
but let's be hypothetical here, say someone else would have bought it, saw that they were #1 in PWC, sea doo, but lagging in the ATV realm. I'm telling you, the new owners would have cut the ATVs by now b/c its a lackluster performance. why waste $$$ in a division that isnt bringing in the real dollars as with the watercraft products?

I am still wondering where your info is coming from, like market share numbers, and unit sales figures of some of the other major brands in comparison to the BRP numbers. I think you are guessing by what you maybe seeing in your area out in the riding areas . There are allot more BRP quads around here on the trails now days than I can ever remember seeing a few years ago. A press release of a sale that happened 3 years ago does not provide any proof that you have any idea as to what you are talking about is fact today.

plus ok there may be more of them now but compared to yamaha, honda, suzuki, how much of that marketshare does BRP have NOW? stil nothing to write home about. a drop in the bucket.

it provides facts of why they sold it. and earlier i posted some intersting sales figures that were down... did you not see it? Thats straight from BRP, not me. I am not making any figures or facts up.
>>>>>>>>>>
You provided quotes but not facts, you made assumptions by trying to read between the lines. When you can post something that states "Bombardier sold off their rec. division because it was a drain on the overall company"...then I'd believe you but so far you've posted your own assumptions.

my my, pissy arent we?
a quote is fact if it came from the co, dont you think?
the sales figures came from the co, they are fact, dont you think?
the financial staements are online at the co, they are fact, go look at them and read WHY they sold it. it was not assumed it is fact. i rest my case. i won.
Judgement upheld, price is too high, sinking ship. Denny Crane.

aww 12many, i see where you get that name now... you are not coherent...but hey if you or anyone else wants to want to get ripped off, go buy your $10K renegade tank if you want to.
if they really wanted to kick@ss with this bike they would sell it in the upper 7K range; then it would be plausible and actually meet sales expectations and give then a sliver of the pie and increased marketshare.

If I knew there was something to win here, I would have stayed in the game longer! Since you can not rationalize with an irrational person, we should all just let the facts stand. If someone can find the exact words that say "We at Bombardier sold the recreational vehicle segment because it was losing money and we needed to repair our balance sheet", I'll believe twenty. Otherwise, as an individual who has read the financials (I've owned stock in the company based on their aerospace business. The rec vehicle segment was a fun bonus!) and knows that the recreational vehicle segment was profitable at the point of sale, I have to believe that I double win. There is no data about the recreational vehicle segment beyond 2002. Bombardier's 2003 statements list the segment under gain on sale of dicontinued operations. From 2004 on there is no financial data available once it went into private hands.
So the bottom line is..
They sold a profitable segment to focus on core operations (aerospace and transportation)
I own 2 yamaha's and a honda, but will buy the renegade just to annoy twenty and
I triple super infinity win!!!

im not irrational, i went through all the points. showed you docs from the 2 companies....you all are just emotional over the thing like the cannondale people were. we understand. its a touchy subject.
why do you have to see it saying "we at Bombardier sold the rec division b/c it was unprofitable" to believe it?
the financials i quoted the other day FROM BRP AFTER THE SALE. once again FROM BRP. NOT ME> it has FISCAL YR 2005 vs FISCAL YR 2006. IT shows a LOSS for the atv segment (apparent trend). please refer to them.
beside you cant win, i called it first. denny crane.
name is on the the door.

ONCE AGAIN
It was the AEROSPACE division that NEEDED a cash infusion
HENCE the sale of the PROFITABLE recreational line
If you need a $$$ infusion you sell what will sell the quickest and give you the best bang for $$$ to keep shareholders happy
As for the BRP financial statements this year
simple answer LOW SNOW look at Poo and AC too
The snowmobile divisions have taking hits because of the low snow the past few years in the snowbelt
It has F all to do with the quads
WTF is with your comparison of Cannondale and BRP
Canondale was a bike company not a MOTORSPORTS company
They had little capital to work with and once all those quirks with the all new to them MotoX/Quads they did the right thing
HOW long did it take Canondale to enter the market, year after year you heard they were entering and finally they entered but only last little more then 3 yrs
Like I said earlier YOU ARE FROM LA(Louisana) of course BRP would be foreign to you hence the reason you lament them
You should be happy BRP is making great quads
as you would not have the Raptor660/700,Honda would still all be under 500cc and drum brakes
hell you would still have the 20yr old Warrior/Banshee/ 10yr old 400EX
They are pushing and raising the bar for everyone in the ATV market
As for you 400/500LBS 4x4 sports quad for $7000
Where is Yamaha and Honda????
It won't happen
HP cost $$$ and adds weight
Sure you can lose the weight but magnesium and all other lightweight parts COST $$$$$$$$$$$$
What is your fascination with BRP anyway
