Well boys and girls, we mysteriously found another 8hp in the ole Spiderbike with just a little tweak of the power jet. Thanks again to THEBOM,

Its interesting to me that alot of us who have gone to see Jeff have already been dyno'd somewhere else. And with a couple tweeks here and there Jeff finds alot more power.

For those out west looking to dyno tune,
At DS Days this year in Utah, KBR in Salt Lake will have their Mobile Dyno on site, this is KBG's (KGB is his forum name) shop and he runs the dyno and he is giving discounted rates to forum members attending DS Days. See the DS Days website for more info.
I know he has been working with some Lectrons on 450's, not sure how fluent he has become with them but its worth inquiring about, he's also a really great guy.
I get my stuff from THEBOM, many many phone calls to him and learned lots from him along the way. Haven't been to his shop yet but will sometime this summer, it'll be a pleasure.

AHHH, all this talk about how much more power you guys got makes me wish i still had mine! i would of loved to take it down to him and see how much more my bike could get. but maybe ill take the banshee down! jeff can you work your magic on banshees??
i guess ill ask him tomarrow in person! lol..
anyway this is a good thing. i guess im saying that you got your ds dynoed and you think they pulled the last hp you could get and most of the times you feel good about it. YA it runs alot harder "but" thats it no more ponies!
not always true.

I can't take it anymore
I am sure Jeff is a great guy and a good builder. That is not in question but this thread is hilarious.
As I said early in this thread, I am glad you guys did this. For starters, it is nice to hear a good referral. I like finding new resources The second reason I am happy about this thread is anytime any of you that are pushing this try to accuse me or anyone else of working for a particular builder when we are pleased with their work, I will remember this thread and remind you of it.
Nothing personal toward any of you, I simply am happy you guys did this thread and am somewhat amused by some of the comments
Btw, speaking of Dyno's. I dialed my bike in at the coast then hauled it over to Salem (500 ft elevation) where I dynoed it. I leaned it out a bit on the dyno and gained 5hp. I took it back to the coast. It was running a little lean so i richened it up a bit, seat of the pants felt like I gained another 5 hp. I figure if I do that 3 or four more times, I will have over 100 hp all motor
In all seriousness, I look forward to meeting Jeff someday. I was highly impressed by how fast Scott was on Jeff's bike. That thing ripped!
Later

I just wanted to clarify a few things in regards to my dyno session with THEBOM.
First of all, I do want to say this with no disrespect to Randall or Eric. But, I will say that I have never touched the carb since I left their dyno 1 yr ago.
We rolled the spiderbike off my trailer, changed tires and rolled it onto the dyno. I installed a clean air filter and made the first pull. BAM! 48hp on the dyno.
I changed spark plugs and yanked the power jet. We richened the jet and pulled 52hp on the second run.
We kept richening the power jet until she stabilized at 56hp and 50 ft lbs of torque on all motor.
We made the first nitrous pull and made 69hp. We thought the tires had slipped on the dyno, so we made the second pull and once again, 69hp.
We found out that with the combo of jets in the nitrous system that we were running a safe 15shot of nitrous. I thought the bike was running extremely well with this setup and decided to leave it alone.
We buttoned things up and rolled it off the dyno for the tire swap and loaded it on the trailer in preparation for Genoa.
This is where we gained the additional 8hp. Take it for what its worth. The temp was approx 81 degrees. I dont remember the humidity. This is for reference ONLY and not to be used for any other purpose or intents.
Sincerly,
Scott Bennett
