Default sound test at silver lk this weekend

This is the first time ive even seen them test. They were randomly pulling people aside and
testing them.My buddy on a stock dvx 400 got tested. He pulled 88.When they tested me I
hit 98 the first time and 99 the next. They let me ride but said to repack my silencer. My hmf
might have 60-100 hrs on it.Would it need new packing already? And will it really help?

I wonder why they didnt test any shees?

Are you running the HMF sport pipe? Was quite core in or out? And you are lucky, they tested my brothers HMF at 102

Yes, re-packing it will help.

Yes, they loose the packing quickly. Not pointing at HMF's. . . I think all of them do.

Im running the hmf sport with the sparky. No quiet core.Looks like i need to contact hmf.

Entomber that was the first time ive even seen them checking.I guess to be on the
safe side you might want to repack. They always check for sparky though.

Thanks guys.

What is your limit there? Even Cali is 97 and a 98 would be nothing

I believe it is 98. That seems really low to me. If a stocker is at 88, i would think most pipes are over the limit allowed ther. I am headed up there this weekend, let me know if any of you guys will be there.

Where do you find packing online? Does any motorcycle bike shop have it? I have never repacked my pipe at all, so I am asking.

Is there a cheaper place to find packing.......I just looked at my nearest can-am dealer, and they want 131 dollars for packing for a stock pipe! That is crazy.
