Default prairie 700 v/s outty 800

hey fellers, not here to start a bashing contest just wanting some info. I have a prairie 700 and am thinking of up gradeing. ive not heard much on the subject of comparing to outty to the prairie so lest hear it. how does the outty compare as far as ride compfert? what about handeling? how much quicker is the outty than the prairie? on my 700 stock i could pull the frount end up at 12 mph and hold it there till about 25 mph. what kind of mph are you guys able wo get the front end of the outty up at? how does the outty run ageanst the 400cc sport quads in 300 feet? thanks for the info

Runs a 730 kit from OMW with web109's and a 48mm lectron. It has some serious torque!

from what i've read and heard a outty 800 will take a z400 pretty easily in 300ft, and i know they are extremely wheely and if ur not careful you'll bring it over backwards

I've got a 04 700 prairie with all the bolton hopups, stage 1 hotcams, and a 25 shot of boondocker nos. In a 100 yard sand drag if the rider weight is even, both have stock tires, and the outi has a pipe and fuel module, I can usually squeak out a win. Put paddles on the outi and I lose. Don't let anyone fool you the outi's are fast. They don't seem to have the super hard start that the kawi v twins have but they come on very strong. These results were before I cleaned out my nitrous kit, I had a blockage somewhere and wasn't getting a full shot. I should know Sat. how I perform against them now that I'm getting a full shot. I have alot of respect for the outi, bomb - can am, did it right with this one.

The Outy is quicker and much plusher. I have the Max version and couldn't be happier. The Outy, if you crank up the front shocks will handle just like the Prarie. The seat is much more comfortable on the Outlander. There is a little more snap on the bottom with the Outlander. I've heard that a Moose module will correct that though.
My wife really likes the Twin Peaks though. The engine braking is excellent on both. The Prarie does have the separate braking though. On both, I hardly use the brakes.
There are more after-market accessories for the Prarie.

so either brake controll causes breaking all around on the outty? even in 2x4 mode? what about the famous (irs squat) that thay have when you put a load on the rear? I use my prairie to hual 300lbs of feed on the back rack up the moutian. does the outty have stiff enough springs for that or will it drag on a pot hole?? so am i right by understanding that it takes a highly modded prairie to hang with a outty in 300 feet?

I haven't raced a prairie but I have raced and beaten a v force 700. I also own an 04 ds650 baja that is piped and it barely outruns the 800.

The rear springs are stiff enough to take that kind of load. I know we hooked we put a real heavy rock that was almost all tongue weight (600 lbs. - for a lawn ornament) and it only squatted the rear end like 3"and the pre load was about in the center.
It doesn't seem to squat as much as the double a-arm models. If you have the extra weight, you also don't have to worry about wheel scrub either.
