I have the Max, I am 250 lbs and I can double another guy at 250 lbs and you can hardly feel the extra weight power wise. If you crank up the rear springs you can't even tell he's there from a handling perspective.

Polaris is about the only one with this problem, but they are known for their soft suspension. I have put 5 60lb bags of cement mix on the front and rear of my Arctic Cats racks, and it handles it fine. Im sure the outty would be the same way.

Prairie 700 vs. Outty 800

Prairie, I like the solid rear axle for power sliding it. Handles well, and is very confortable.

The Outty, Super powerful, and very confortable. The suspension is a little soft in the rear for me but thats my opionion.

Drag racing them, theres no chance for the Prairie. My oldest brother goes 350lbs +and owns the Outty(stock). My youngest brother is about 220 and owns the Prairie( only mod is a copperhead vdi box). Everytime they race its the same thing, the Outty by 3 bikes and pulling. I have seen my older brother beating 450 R's and many other sport quads. The bike flat out performs even with the bigger guys riding it.

I havent gotten to trail ride on the Outty yet so I cant give you an honest opionion about the ride comparison in the woods.

Both bikes are well put together and havent had any major problems.

Both bikes wheelie relitively easy, with just a blip of the throttle from a dead start. The down side on the Prairie is the computer doesnt allow you to have full throttle off the start, until you hit about 5 mph( this problem was solved with a copperhead vdi box).

Hopefully PrairieRidr, will chime in on his thoughts about both. He has trail ridden both.

1bigdsrider, When are you going to come back to Texarkana and join us in the races? We have some more money races on the 15th. Sign up is usually 2-3 and races at 3-4. The next time you can make it back bring both your brothers and their 4x4's. We also run a utility class and I'm always looking for some more action

I will tell them, but they never want to go drag racing anymore. Always trail riding. I will go as soon as I get my bike together.

The only drag races have been between my wife and I and she isn't aggressive enough to hold the throttle long enough. Therefore, my comparision isn't great. It seems to be pretty even for the first little bit and then really take off.
To me, the ride is way more plush and this is really where the Outy shines. It is amazing the difference. This thing rides like the typical Bomb couch. If you stiffen up the front suspension all the way on the Max, it takes all the noticeable body roll away and handles like a sra. To me that is worth the extra money.
However, if you take the extra money difference between the two and buy better shocks, could you make it ride like the Outy for less, this I don't know.
