In a straight line like a drag race or hill shoot, the straight paddles like Haulers are much better suited. For all around duning the Sand Stars or similar "V" paddles are my choice. I do think the Sand Stars are the best of the "V"s because of the extra paddle they add to the sides, but I have friends with all sorts of "V" shaped paddles and they love them. The only one I would say to stay away from is the Sand Gecko's... you will just did your self a hole.

MY WHEELIE-METER...

Stock = sucked at wheelies, had to use a TON of body english, it really sucked.

Added HMF slip on and no toil filter = made a HUGE difference, easily pull it up in 1st and 2nd. Can barely due 3rd gear wheelies in the sand.

Added TM45 carb, ported intake, rwr cdi, 60% clutch springs = another HUGE jump in power, 3rd gear wheelies in sand no problem, just breaks 22" razr II's loose in dirt.

I am happy with the upgrade path I have taken and I would suggest it. Now I just bought Meaners' 14:1 stock bore DS, so I will be able to see what difference going into the motor makes.

Okay here I go
1-CDI without a doubt you will bang that stock POS to death
2-11.5/1 if you dont want to run race gas or alky
3-Carb TM45 and PM me Ill tell you how to run it on alky cheap and you will love it. Give it a try
4-Port intake to match the carb
5-With the carb take airbox lid off and jet it

That should get you on the right track

My take on paddles is go with Skat Trak. Straights suck for sliding because they push so hard. If you like to slide go with the Edge Vs. 22s work great

The Yoshi is a very good slip-on. Keep it until you go with a full and then Id suggest a Wood racing full

Speaking of alky..................the alky boys cleaned up at our local track last night. It was REALLY hot and gas made no power.
I think it was 1, 2, 3 for the blue flame crowd last night.
With decent weather, I can make good power with gas. When it's HOT the alky boys wax us.
