That makes sense. I am gonna order the washer tomorrow and I think I am going order the waterpump seal parts also just to have them. Can you tell me what numbers to order on the microfiche: CLICK ME!

you want a pair of #8 and one #9, always replace both at same time.
the grease #24 is expensive, grease is necesary here but the high dollar bomb grease is not. a good quality synthetic marine grade grease with moly is what I use, from auto parts store, and it has lasted for over 4 years now, while the stock seals on my bike only lasted less than one.
the reason they went so quick is that grit went up the wheephole and ate up the seals and shaft. if you look in my pics in my gallery found in the links of my sig, you will find a pic of the wheephole mod I did years ago that many have done since. if and when you ever have the water pump apart, you can drill and tap the wheephole for a tiny hose barb and stick a loop of tubing on it, this makes it impossible for stuff to get up there again while maintaining function of wheephole.
