I googled this Eureka Utah that you speak of. Looks like no reservations are required there, actually looks like you would have the whole town to yourself should you decide to stay. Oh, and that cute little dog in the picture might keep you some company.

My wife has been ragging me about my trip to Utah. The couple of times I passed through on the way back to Cali from National Championships in Ohio I told her how beautiful it was. Then I took her to Bryce and Zion and she kind of agreed. Well, in this information age she did some research and found out that Utah is a nuclear wasteland. I tell her my second retirement will take place there, may be without her it's looking like. Oh well, more time in the dunes for me.

Chris, aren't you taking your trailer? Or was that Scott's? I'm real close to getting a MH, if you don't have other arrangements you are more than welcome to bask in some Southern Hospitality. I'll keep you posted on my success with the purchase.

yeah, I agree with 650Viper. The farther back from the mountain the better. Last time I parked the motorhome too close to the bottom of the hill and the wind started blowing and didn't stop for 2 days. Nothin like bein in the middle of a big sandstorm. I still don't think I have all the sand out of the cupboards. Also, you've got the parkin lot racers to contend with 24/7. But yeah, a circle is a good idea. Let's identify our rigs so we'll know what to look for.

Yep Dragon, like was mentioned, about 80 miles south, or an hour and a half to two hours. I will check with you as it gets closer. If I can catch you in SLC, you can follow me down.

Ace, yep we take more nuke than one can shake a stick at. I pass right by the plant on my way to the dunes. If you didnt know what you were looking at, you wouldnt know it was even there. The dunes, and area around, are not that pretty, so dont get your hopes up. Just 30 miles to the east, and you would be in some of the best hunting in the country. And its pretty as well.

BLKHWK, we will find a spot for you, so just get your **** there!

Eureka is a mining town to the north, I wouldnt stay there even if there was a hotel. Sure hope nobody gets offended by that.
If I was staying at a hotel, I would go to Nephi. But you all dont want to stay in hotels, Chris you know that. How would we stay up all night talking with Cofferoasters GF if your in a hotel? And if Scatter dont come, how will we here anymore info about gerbils from his buddy????????? And how about Sandaholic, I need more info on whats been found in the "SECRET PLACE" uhem....this year!!!! LMAO!!

I CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh I wanted to add, as far as type of vehicles. One look for a group of Ds's, its a good chance thats us. If not, I will have my WW fifth wheel, and two black dodges with my Construction name in the windows. Like I said, I will have something done so as to when you pull in, you will be directed. I will talk with someone smarter than I, and see if we can come up with a map.

Anyone smarter than me that can help me make a map and post it, please respond. I know the smarter than me isnt hard...........

Jed, what is the rode to the camping area like. Will the Cummin's have a problem with it? I'm sure it won't just don't know what to expect.

I'm for getting in that circle as well. Jed, I'll PM you my phone number and we'll see if we can get anything more concrete by then. There might be an HPR contingent out there. I might be setting up ez-ups to display products during the middle of the day. We'll see if that happens or not. Called Randall today but didn't talk to him.

I've got a 37ft Sierra toybox and my silver Dodge 4x4. Viper and some of the other boys know what it looks like.

Also, do the Cell phones work there? Verizon?

I'm sure we'll get this all squared away in the coming weeks.

Yea, let's get someone to do a map and someone to email it out. That would be ideal.

again I am not Jed but the roads in are all paved. You only get off to park and the sand isn't to bad you won't have a problem. And my phone always works on the top of the hill and sometimes by the bathrooms in loop C at Oasis. Sorry I just happen to chime in behind you just trying to help.

Well, just FYI on the rigs. We will be in two trucks. One is a big Red F350, that has flaming signs on the side. The other is a white ford short bed. We will have a camping trailor, and at a minimum of 3 black DS's, and one Banshee. Maybe more, but at least that.

Cynick, don't appologise for that. It's all good info, and really appreciated. Hope to put a name to the face when I get there. Again, I'll be the biggest guy there - scratch that, the tallest guy there. I just made 275 from 328.... yea for me!
