moisture in light

Default moisture in light

i took my bike out today and my light is full of moisture is there anyways to keep this out of there thanks.

well something isn't sealed on the light so look to see if its sealed all the way around or maybe you got water in it but if it isn't sealed try using clear cauch or however you spell it.

If you still have the 2001 factory headlight (glass) it does have an open spot at the rear of the reflector to let out water vapor. Unfornunatly, it also lets moisture in!

mine rarely gets water in, usually if there is any in there it came from me at the carwash, the position of the hole in the back of it does not allow splashes or rain in very easy at all.
I have never ever in over 5 years had a headlight bulb burn out, not even from moisture.

thats what i was mainly worried about is burning out a bulb beacuse were i ride i go thru river crossings and mud so it alway get wet soshould i sealit up or let it be another queastion that i have is itook my bike out this weekend andi think i got mud in the hand controls they are now pretty stiff to move on and off is there anyway to clean these to smooth them out thanks for the advice.

you could take them apart and clean them thoroughly or try spraying some water let it dry then wd40
