are you sure you are not running into preignition because that combo should make a ton of torque since those cams and 14-1 will build a lot of cylinder pressure. what happens when you close the choke some?

Rcoop has a good question.... What octane are you running and at what elevation?

you close the choke a lil if it clears up your lean if it wets the plug your rich its a caveman way to get you started on your mixture. how does it pull rpm in gear? your best bet with that carb is to get ahold of jeff ross thebom on here. he would be able to get you on point quick, cause something is not right you should have a lot stronger torque curve.

give jeff a call or email he will get back to you and get the carb figured out and hopefully thats the only problem and you will be carrying the front end in no time.

its a snorkle tube, with a twin-air power flow kit
and the tubes that went from under the gas tank
to the air box are gone....oh.. and air box lid removed to....
i dont know.. maybe im useing the wrong race fuel..
i just found a little book from the gas station that sells the race gas
and it says purple is 101 and has oxygen in it......

I think your WAY lean on your MJ. I think with your set up it calls for a 175 main. What pipe ya runnin and what elevation? I "THINK" 160 is way lean. I might be wrong. Id try it. Also do a search on tm 45 jetting and you might get some specs on jetting.
