Default Axle Help Needed Fast!!

Sorry...no i havent figured it out yet but i do no that some ppl have done this but they dont seem to be jumping in on the subject...ive decided to simply refund my money on my axle and order from a diff distributor for cheaper. I emailed durablue also and there is only 2 versions of axles for the ds...the 2000-2003 and 2004-2006 just like i thought at first...so i got the 00-03 axle which dennis kirk says is the 04-06. What i do no for sure is that the old sprocket hubs are shorter than the new sprocket hubs and well thats pretty much all ive figured out yet.

Default Axle Help Needed Fast!!

I went through the Duracrap circle two months ago. THey actually sent me the wrong axle 3 times! THREE FREAKIN TIMES!!!!!!! The second wrong axle, which was the same exact one as the first one, I used a micrometer and sent them the exact measurements of the original axle..... THey still messed it up and sent me a Preadator axle, it wouldn't even slip into the housing..... Check out the team axles, why would you have to make an axle fit??? Why would you have to look for other sprockets????? JUst my $.02 about Duracrap axles......

K well finaly figured this entire thing out...just got off the phone with a guy at Dennis Kirk. I forwarded him the email durablue had sent me saying there are only two axles made by them for the ds650 the 2000-2003 and 2004-2006 models. What a person from Durablue said was that i would have to machine both hubs in order to use the older axle on my 04 model. Dennis Kirk is sending me the right durablue axle now...we did measurements of the spline over the phone so there shouldnt be any mix up this time. Dennis kirk did kind of mess up on the axle shipment...but they have some of the best customer service i have ever recieved.

I'm fitting a 00 with a an 04 Swingarm (many reasons why I am doing this in case anyone scratches thier head). I was considering a durablue axle to put on my bike but... I want the 00 width. Anything to look out for Dunerider or I'm better off haning on to my 00 Axle instead?

i think you will be fine if you get the 00-03 model durablue axle and use all your old hubs and stuff.

Just a quick question.. what model of axle from Durablue are you guys using? I assume stock DS hubs fit on these axles. What about the lock nut? Wear rings? etc...

Default Axle Help Needed Fast!!

I beleive my axle nightmare is over!!! talked with missionmotorsports this morning very helpful!!! with my research and theirs we came to the conclusion i had the 04 and newer durablue axle with billet sprocket hub!! Sent it back to them this morning, they will send it to durablue, scheduled to get new one back next week!! if anyone is on west coast and dealing with horrible customer service , I highly recommend these guys ask for Larry!! Normally when you buy something off of ebay its your problem not sellers! these guys have been very helpful and will do more business with them in future!! its unbeleivable that the two of us had the wrong axles, both oppisite of each other, will keep you posted on the new one when it arrives. thank you for your help dunerider with the two of us and our problems hopefully we will both be able to move on!! carlton
