Sand Mtn NV, Coral, Dumont, Oregon, Little Sahara, Pismo...... people's votes, this place has that, doesn't have this...... it's just to much. Good GRIEF!!!!! Quite frankly, if the vote were to happen in January, would we be any worse off? Are the 10 - 12 rigs that showed this year REALLY planning 360days out? It's RECREATTION!!!! NO BODY IS GETTING PAID TO DO THIS!!!!! EVERYBODY just RELAX!!!!!!
Listen, all I'm saying is that Dumont is TO HOT on Labor Day. Bad choice for a get together. What the weather sites don't tell you is that the temps are taken at near-by Baker, CA. If you are in the DUNES.... go about 5 - 7 hotter. Get in front of the drag hills.... try another 7 - 10.
I'll do what ever. You want me to organize something between Halloween and Thanksgiving at Dumont - consider it done and professional. You want me to organize something for Labor Day at Coral - consider it done and professional.
This is my last post on this thread. Not mad, not upset, don't have my feelings hurt. Just not putting anymore time into this thread when the planning of the event takes even less time. Maybe Cynic should be running this thread, she's the only level head in this place. This place is getting hard to watch and post at. Just seems like the attitudes are getting a little thick over the last 3 months or so.

I am sorry to break up the fight I always tell my boys to look at each other say I Love you and give each other a hug. It always makes them laugh and then they aren't fighting anymore.
Who else voted for Winnemucca heck I didn't think anyone was gonna vote for there. But thanks. I really am good about anywhere the only problem I have is if it isn't on a holiday weekend.

see thats a new pic!!lol maybe you could get all the models together you have Mario and share the wealth with some of these forum members!!lol It seems like we are going to war and we have 6 hours to figure out our staging area, for jimmeny crickets its a year away!! Not to be negative but some of us might not even be around. I vote for all the tighty whiteys to to invest in a chil pill!! Just look at Marios pics and tell me your all serious!

I hope you all have fun where ever you end up but I aint stressin over it any more. count me out as organizer there please ODP and remove me from the list. if any should happen by sand mountain on labor day, look me up . I will be the happy as hell guy in the big red white and blue 40ft bus and I will leave the porch light on for ya!

We voted last year to change the venue from nevada, for one: To see new places. And two, we were loosing people because of the venue. Its not that its a bad place. But for folks to drive that far every year, to see the same place, the same ol same ol, so to speak, wears on ya. So we voted to change it. If folks vote to have it there next year, great. Thats freedom for ya. But to say you wont come cuz its not where you want it is childish. I want to see new places. So I voted on a place I havent been. Thats my choice, and its not the one everyone else is choosing, and that is fine as well.
If I have a following, why arent they voting for Oregon dang it?lol. Your in the lead Greg, so this could all be just a waste of energy. However, I will go and edit my last post so I dont seem unfair and biased. I hope to attend next year. Its alot easier for me if its on Labor day, but will suffice to say I will still try my best to make it if its not.

I have an idea.If you want to come to Oregon and ride the Dunes at Florence Oregon i will show you around anytime Labor Day or not.I would just like to meet some forum members and share some thoughts and ideas and enjoy the dune experience.Isnt that what this is supposed to be about?Does this really have to be so complicated???

To me this is proof positive that those of you who said I was the one who made the tension on this forum are mistaken. This forum creates tension all by itself with or without me. That being proven, Marky, you better come up with another reason why bickering exists here. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
Regarding DS Days 2007..............This whole thing has been forced and railroaded by one person in a way that reminded me of sheep herding. I see no reason to force a decision on this at this minute. As quickly as things change around here, this effort is pointless. The right person will take charge at the right time and things will fall into place smoothly at the time when they are supposed to fall into place.
Regardless of how the leader was determined last time, this isn't working. Walk away for awhile and come back to it later. It will work.
Marky, you want to act like a leader yet you refuse any responsibility. That approach has never worked and it never will.............Whatever conclusion as to leader, location and timing you funnel everyone into will change in at least one catagory over the next year...........unless it is on Labor day and is at one of the sandmountains. Then it has a prayer of standing.

i think you should take pismo off your poll. i was there this weekend and it was still tore up from the weekend before. someone held some kind of semi organized race there labor day weekend and they left the drag strip so filthy it was disgusting they lft there lane marker tape and poles out there just scattered everywhere. i wished they would up the entrance fee to the dunes to keep out some of the rif raf from destroying pismo
