How are the crowds at Sand Mountain NV. and Winnemuca over Labor Day?

Looking at weather.com temp averages both look to be low 90s does this sound right to those of you that go there often?

I really am trying not to get involved but since I really want to go to DS days next year and i got shorted out of it this year, I will respond to this.

ODP has passed the test as a true leader by taking the initiative to organize this poll. Lets just put it to bed by electing him the leader of DS days and having it in NV. Nope, I really appreciate the support, but to be honest, I like working behind the scenes. I’ve been in the spotlight way too many years, and its time for charity work for me. Like I said before, I am completely happy with helping out if asked by the organizer. Besides, I think I may be a bit too controversial of a character to run it from the front. It would be best for the DS Community to have someone of their own run this event. Since I don’t have a DS, that pretty much disqualifies me. It’s important that the vote is completely upfront, unbiased and honest. I think it’s important that the integrity is 100%, and that includes its perception as well.

 

So maybe you need another DS Mark?You know you miss it.

 

That sounds about right. Sometimes it is a little hotter sometimes a little cooler. Just like Utah it will cool down nicely in the evening. We have had a really weird year this year. The heat has been terrible.

You know what I miss is the ocean at the Oregon Dunes. You know those days when its just a bit too hot in the parking lot? Just jump on the quad and head to the beach ... man I miss that. I like it here in Utah, for many other reasons, but that one part I do miss from Oregon.

Idaho is awesome too. Those big bowls are nothing better, and sand thats just about as good as Oregon's.

I could go on, every area seems to have a bonus over another one. For me, I'd just be pleased to ride somewhere new.
