Have you checked to see if you have a hole in your diaphram on your carb or a hole in the vaceume line going to the top of your carb? It sounds to me like your slide is not coming all of the way up in your carb.
If your clip is at the highest clip from your tip this is leaning out the bike not richening it this could acount for the better running condition.
Hope this helps.

i recently replaced the diaphram because of a hole but the problem is still there, isnt the highest needle position the richest? Seems like it lets more fuel in that way? Vent line is short and clear, ill check the vacuum line tomorrow, thats the line that connects the air box to the carb right? If all fails ill get a smaller jet and well go from there.......

i think im going to buy a new jet kit, when i bought her it only had the one jet, the 185 so i think im throwing to much fuel at her so she bogs and spits under hard acceleration, im hoping a 175 on the 2nd notch with like 2-2.5 turns out will do the trick, if not im seriously going to kill it....

If you are saying it runs good up too full throttle now, do not adjust the needle or the air/fuel screw - main jet only. Do you still have the stock needle and main jet ??? If so put the stock needle back in and buy a few main jets. I would buy a 165,170,175,180 and a 185. Dyno jet jets are different then regular jets !!!
