I JUST GOT MY DS650 AND IT ONLY HAS 5-6 HOURS ON IT AND I NOTICED THE AXLE IS BENT.I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID IT WOULD NOT BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY BECAUSE I ABUSED IT.I HAVE NEVER HIT ANYTHING WITH IT,ROLLED IT OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT.THE HIGHEST I HAVE JUMPED IT IS ABOUT 6 FEET HIGH.I EXPRESSED MY CONCERN TO THE DEALER ABOUT IT NOT BEING WARRANTY AND HE SAID HE CALLED BOMBARDIER PERSONALLY AND THEY TOLD HIM THERE IS NO WAY THEY WOULD COVER THAT.I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH MY DEALINGS WITH BOMBARDIER AND THINK THERE WARRANTY IS A JOKE.I AM READY TO GET RID OF THIS THING BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO OWN SOMETHING IF BOMBARDIER IS GOING TO TREAT ME THIS WAY.HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD TROUBLE WITH WARRANTY.DO YOU GUYS THINK I HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE UPSET OR AM I OVER REACTING?

I bet you remember that landing when the axle got bent!, knowing the ride and suspension of the DS650.

Common EZwheeler what did you do to it? I've never heard of a Ds bending an axle, that sucker is about inch thick at the narrowest point. I
jump my Ds every time I go Dunning and have caught some pretty big air (60-70ft long/ 8-10ft high approx) when I come down there's almost 700LBS hitting mother earth and the shocks just soak it up. I have rarely bottomed out (my set up is quite stiff) so how do you bend that rear axle??
Unless you had noticed the defect at time of purchase I don't think you have much of a case, put yourself in their shoes- what would you do?
I still wanna know how you bent the axle?

to be sure that the dealer isn't trying to rip you off, call bombardier customer service directly about this. You may need to take it to another dealer as well.

I have to agree with ScoobyDFW, there's other dealers out there. Call support, "be nice" voice your problems with your bike, "be nice" voice your problems with your dealer, "be nice" If these don't work ask for there supervisor, "be nice" If none of these work, write a letter and noterise it and send it Canada main office to the Customer Relation Officer. I did this with Polaris and got my problem resolved ASAP. Doug

I DO ADMIT I AM HARD ON AXLES,I BENT A NEW ELIMINATOR ON MY 250R THE FIRST TIME I RODE WITH IT BUT HONSETLY I DID IT ON A 6 FOOT JUMP WITH A SLIGHT UPHILL LANDING.I REALLY THINK BOMBARDIER SHOULD STAND BEHIND IT,ALSO MY REAR WHEELS ARE BENT UP PRETTY GOOD ALREADY.I DO WEIGH ABOUT 250 LBS.I HAVE NO COMPLAINT ABOUT THE SUSPENSION IT IS NEARLY AS GOOD AS THE AXIS SHOCKS ON MY 250R.

This is unbeleivable...gotto be a"first",Definitely call Bombardier customer service .
I have landed nearly vertical on rear axle, after almost "wooping out" and had no problems.
Possibly defective material or something was not right during hardening process??

I've got about 15 hours on my DS with lots of hard ridding and a few spills but no damage to anything other then the rear fender and foot gaurds. I'm a big guy, about 275# in my gear and I've landed real hard a few times from as high as 12-15 feet on flat ground and have to say the DS performes extreamily well. I have'nt even bent a rim and run both 0.190 and 0.160 dougles rear wheels. My biggest jump was with the 0.160's and no damage to them or the axle. How did you bend it?

ezwheeler,
Good point, we should all get along. But could you please take off your cap locks. Its annoying to read your posts in capital letters.

thank you, good luck with your bent axle
