Default hole in the engine?????

i know it sounds bad, and it just might be but i was doing some work on my ds 650 and next to the lower spark plug on the right side of the machine, there is a hole and its goes into the engine about 2 inches. It doesnt look like something blew up but was there a screw there or something? anyone that can take a quick look at there ds tonight and see if there is a small 1/4 inch hole right next to the lower spark plug. Id start it up to see if all is well but i'm working on the carb so thats not gonna happen soon. please help

Pretty much the same carb as the pred. The few things I noticed different between the 2 is the slide spring on the Pred looked a tad bit longer and coils didnt seem to be wound as tight. And there is a grey plastic retainer ring thing that clamps the diaphram on the slide on my 04 DS that is not on the Pred. The fuel line is bigger on the DS.

The diaphragm part# for the pred carb is 3131479 from Polaris and run around $31. Can order on from
here.
