Check ebay for the uni filter. I think that may be the one part they list, beside atv covers. Of course, if the price you have at 28 dollars is CAD, then it's not a bad price.

I suggested the CDI if you are truly wanting the most out of these. Although it being an auto, it probably wouldn't have the same effect as a manual would.

I don't know if they make one for it or not. My guess is if they have one for a Kymco, they have to have one for a SYM.

This is SYM's home page, if you want to contact them and see if they have anything for it. Didn't have much luck with SYM USA.

That pipe doesn't look like it's specifically made for the DS the way the hangers are wrapped around it. Makes me think almost any slip on muffler with the same diameter would work.

Pretty sure a universal would work, if you can find right diameter. Kind of why I always thought a Kymco or similar slip on would work on these. Only thing I didn't like was how for out it sticks from the back. Not that these things have the power to stand it straight up, but if on a trail it did flip backwards, seems like it could do some damage to the whole exhaust system.

how much do you think the stock exhaust costs? cuz if it is almost the same as a white bros E series universal slip-on, then i could break it (just do a huge wheelie, i can already do that but im scared)

Then when i break it, i could convince my dad not to buy a replacement stock one, but the White Bros pipe

I wouldn't worry about the muffler itself. I'd be more worried about that energy being transfered through the entire exhaust system. Bend the head pipe and you could be in for quite a bit more money than just a new muffler.
