I am 175 and more like 190 with all my gear on. I do the revlimiter drop on my 04 and ride out the wheelie because you usually reach the hill right when its about to be too far. Then you speed shift 3rd (holding the throttle open all the way). That should hold 3rd very nice on any dune all the way up if you have a 15 tooth sproket and 22" paddles. If not......your out of tune.

Your 2000 will have a lower rpm limiter than the 03 baja and up years.
