You'll never find out how fast an Outlander 800 is, cause everybody lies to you.
Edit: Bansheeguy: Of course not everybody is lieing to you, I can't believe anybody took that seriously.
Read cc1999's post, that's as close an answer as you're going to get. He's done a lot of research on the subject and knows what he's talking about.

No. Nobody is telling the truth. Not the guy that says 68 or the guy that says 90.

Thats a completely different topic in itself. It all depends on WHO is telling you that, WHAT they are telling you, and add a little common sense judgement into it. The guy who posted that gave reasonable evidence, gave the conditions of the place/time when he did it, and, having owned an Outty myself, it is believable, to an extent, that it will go 81 mph. "
- From my above post
And for the record, we have had ours up to 75+, and it had more room in the RPMs to climb so it probably will go 80..

You won't let yourself down if you do.
They're GREAT bikes. Its all-over a better bike than my Kingquad, and my Kingquad is a sweet bike. I love both of them.

I really like my dad's 660 grizzly.Sure the outy will smoke it,but man that quad is easy on ya when the terrain get rough.I use to feel beat up when I would ride the banshee or raptor I had but when my dad would let me ride the grizzly it was soooo much easier on me.
To me,it runs good.

I was just kidding around. Seriously though, I do agree. The perfect quad is in the eye of the beholder. What you like, I may not and vise versa.

rdz youll get your chance on an outty!hopefully i can get you a ride on my buddys 800. as long as we're all there on the same day. bansheeguy if you dont believe....race one, or better yet ride one. i have had my 650 up to 76 on flat ground it took me about 3/8's of a mile to do it. the 800's will do 79-80 in showroom stock form. there have been a few to roll out that will smack the rev-limiter off the floor. why is it not feasable for them to do this? they run like a 700lb, 800cc, 4x4 quad should. are they the fastest thing out there....MAYBE not. they do make the most power of a production atv. to each his own. you can keep arguing and staying in disbelief but the facts are the facts. that is what you have been given.
