I have had what I thought was a fast banshee. It would smoke an outy but keep in mind it wasn't anywhere near stock.Years ago a stock banshee was fast but technology has helped the newer quads alot.Yamaha done almost nothing to the banshee except for plastic color.

Even though a stock banshee isn't fast by today's standards, there is a real beast in it waiting to be unleashed.
I will say that not just anyone should ride a stock banshee. They do take some getting use to.
Of course it has potential; ANY bike has potential. A 450, a 250, a blaster, a banshee, a raptor, anything. Some more than others. But a little modding in the righ areas can make any bike zip..

I know.I was trying to explain to BansheeGuy69 why the outy would outrun a stock banshee and even if he got beat by one,not to give up on the banshee. There's a million mods for a banshee.

i dont quite think a stock ds with a stock rev box is capable of 80, the raptor 660 i had and the ds's my buddy had bone stock were neck and neck all the way to the ds's revlimiter.

as for the outty having to catch up to the stock banshee....i dont think it would ever be behind. the rider on the shee has to shift 6 times to get wound out....thats 6 less shifts and alot of time wasted when your racing and automatic.

Theres a but there ... outlander has a straight rpm on her clutch at full acceleration but how fast the rider can change gears and the postion when u sit on you bike affects you speed when you lean you weight so its how you race the bikes dont look at your cc or just because you have a 800 outlander you need to consider the size of you your tires the fuel u have the mix thats in it all of these factors can help u gain a lot more mph

Someone already said on flat ground, with no wind, with a 150 lb ( i think ) rider, on a paved surface, the outlander went 81.3 mph.

So that helps a lot..You can add the factors into that.

I believe the 80 on flat ground, I know of an 800, that's probably that fast and it would smoke a lot of DS's and banshee's, but everyone knows what the DS and shee can be made to. another case of who has the deepest pockets.

Ute's can be made to go fast.

Remember too that any outy will more than likely have very good traction where in sand or dirt the banshee will spin alot unless you have very good tires.
The outy has good hp. and torque where a stock banshee has decent hp. and little torque.
