bottom end noise

bottom end noise
OK, I've tried to figure this out before.I dont know if it is a normal sound.
My buddy says its just the sound of the gears inside meshing.
My top end is real quite , but the bottom end, has a whinning noise, not a knocking, or clanking, just a constant whinning sound.
Do others have this same noise. Quad is a 05 DS650X, runs perfectly, doesnt smoke, or burn oil.
The sound concerns me. Like i said, my buddy, says sounds like the inernal gears meshing, nothing to worry about.
Any feed back would be great.
