I have never heard of a problem so far with the helix's or seen and bulletins on them, and I work at a Can Am dealer. Funny how everyone else on here has though.

You should condiser a clutch kit, it will make your belt last longer and regain some lost power.
cluby......This is a post from a dealer tech on helix's, different forum:

"There is no warranty recall for the helix. BRP did not intend for us to run 28" or bigger tires. Now they did intend for the OL650/800 to run the Apache tracks. If U break a helix do to insanely large tires or tracks or by chance with stock tires, make sure it gets replaced with 420 280 195 or 420 280 198. This will be the stronger helix"

No offense, just makin' sure everybody gets the right helix part number.

Sounds like someone has done his homework, I will add this to my notes at work. One thing about track kits though, the driver that you bolting on is like the size of having 23 to 24" tires geared down to be able to turn those tracks.

Do you think that the dalton kit worked or contributed to the breakdown. I was thinking of getting it also.
