The tire/wheel change will make more of a diff. than the chain sprocket, but the whole set up will be sweet. I better do some more work to my 523 so I can stay up front of you

Jmann, I can't recall the exact weight but I think these STUs come very close to tripple buffs, possibly lighter. I'm thinking 11.5 with .160s. I've seen a few .125s wadded up and don't want to ruin a trip.
I dune and hillshoot and have never had a problem with the STUs. I ran Extremes until I swapped tires with a friend with STUs and gained a bike length on a short hill. I ordered
the STUs the next day.
I feel these tires flex more and conform more to the sand surface and are excellent duners. They don't slide much but will climb hills that the Extremes dug into.

Cool, I would love to see some pics of the STU if you could post them, what size are they?

21x12x10 9 paddles, the carcass starts with 18 paddles and they trim off the rest as well as most of the rubber. I'm posting pics on my page right now.
