Jmann, I can't recall the exact weight but I think these STUs come very close to tripple buffs, possibly lighter. I'm thinking 11.5 with .160s. I've seen a few .125s wadded up and don't want to ruin a trip.
I dune and hillshoot and have never had a problem with the STUs. I ran Extremes until I swapped tires with a friend with STUs and gained a bike length on a short hill. I ordered
the STUs the next day.
I feel these tires flex more and conform more to the sand surface and are excellent duners. They don't slide much but will climb hills that the Extremes dug into.
