UGH!! Can't find the squeak on Outty 800XT
Okay, okay, lubed all fittings, checked the rear shock mounts, wheels are tight, squirted springs with CLP, can't seem to locate a loud squeak in the rear suspension when the bike rocks side to side (like getting on and off).
This is the second squeak of this kind heard (my buddy's 800 does it too) so I'm not alone here and not imagining this. Kinda sounds aluminum.
The noise is only made (from the rear suspension) when the bike rocks side to side. No vertical travel noise- ever. I looked everywhere for a fitting I missed, but no idea. Also had a buddy look (who is a tech at the dealer) and he wasn't sure (for free that is- lol).
HELP- I'm going nuts.

My 2006 Outti 800 had exact same issue last fall. Dealer found that one of the nuts on the rear suspension torsion bar had worked loose. They also found moisture in the torsion bar housing although the bearings weren't affected. They cleaned everything up and re-assembled and the noise completely dissapeared.
Problem now is that I noticed last weekend the sound is coming back. Same symptons as before. Squeak is only heard when rocking side to side or going over un-even terrain where the wheels have to work independatly. Looks like its going back to the dealer.
