DS450 NO WELDS on frame or a-arms

It's a very interesting machine so far. They are trying different things which can be good or bad. It will be the third most expensive quad ever built from an OEM behind a Blaze and Moto.. I'm guessing 8700. They should of offered it in an mx version al la (Moto) to really put the hurting on the class from the get go.. It's only 46" wide so if you want to go wider you will be putting on Chromoly +2 arms anyway.. For the dune/desert/mx scene this is a must have..</end quote></div>
Interestingly enough, when you have the tires tucked in like that the quad may be only 46 inches wide, it will handle more like a 48 inch bike. When you go plus 2 the arms will need to be more like plus 2.5 or 3 in comparison to the competiton. Nice long arms mean better leverage to tune with. That's a good thing!!!

with Bomb's history of offering the same quad in several different options such as they do with the outlanders, having a million different motors offered in the same frame and single or two seaters, it otta be a no brainer for them to offer this new quad in multiple versions of varied width and length too, just as Sandgod suggests. the forged a-arms are too pricy to remove and chuck to the side to slap on chromoly - if they don't offer this quad in at least two different widths it will be silly to say the least.
with their interest in GNCC, and their newly purchased rights to all the GNCC singage and promo, I can see a 46" bike being the first logical one to release, but if they don't follow up with a 50" version I will shrug my shoulders. But it really doesn't matter at all for me - I won't be able to fit on one anyway and will never own one for that reason. I can't fit on a WFZ, TRX, or new model Raptor, and will be riding my DS for decades after they are discontinued. But that aint a bad thing, the 6-1/2 years I've spent on it have left me wanting for nothing else anyway. Long live the most comfortable and ergonomically fit quad for a 6'-8" guy ever made!

so far we know that it is going to be at LEAST 17lbs lighter than the lightest 450 out now(5lbs in frame, 3lbs in a-arms or the other way around, and 9lbs lighter in the rea)- the yfz450, which puts it at 350lbs-17= THREE-HUNDRED AND THIRTY-THREE POUNDS?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?! HOLY CRAP THIS THING IS AMAZING- THAT IS ONLY ABOUT 5LBS MORE THAN THE 250R
