Scooby, as I have stated on Planet Sand, I do believe in giving credit where credit is due, thus I really think your bike was very impressive giving the setup in which you are trying to run.

I want to point out one other thing while we are on the subject....my prediction was that you would be good to run with the 4.5 second bikes at the event and from the videos, that seems to be consistent.

Again Good Job!

It was a pretty good weekend. Nice to finally meet Drakester and THEBOM. Everybody's bikes were running hard. I would like to thank cc1999 for letting me take his brand new polaris razr out. I would also like to not thank him, because now I want to go buy one, along with a outty 800. It would have been good to see rawyfz's yfz make it. Maybe next time.

I had a chance to look at the video files this weekend.

I extracted the ETs from the files by taking the difference in time stamps from the point the quads launched to the point they crossed the finish line.

Here are the ETs from the video files.

The ETs are for comparing one run to another only. We don't know what the "real" times were or exactly how many feet the track was. I would not be surprised if these video recorded times are off from the "real" times, but again they are good for comparision only.

2) 4.68 Jeff, left lane, file drakeandjeff3rdpass.mpg

4) 4.78 Drake, right lane, file drakeandjeff3rdpass.mpg

Very good observation.....but, that was a lot of work for nothing!

Drakesters bike runs 4.3's bouncing off the wheelie bar when he was running the +4 arm with a 200lb jockey!

I think its safe to say your bike will run mid 4's just as it sits!

There's nothing from this event to back up the claims that Drakesters bike is faster than mine the way we were all setup for THIS event, AND on THIS drag strip. Drakester fastest time was 4.78, mine was 4.68, absolutely the times are off, but relatively they have meaning. The relative times I posted support what I said before, it was anybodies race. My DS will run under 4.50 as it sits. That's the last I'm saying on this topic, believe what you want.

I'm selling the DS, so spread the word. And the price is WELL under $10k.

You See Scooby. The diffrence between your made up time and drakesters is that he actually runs on many different drag strips and knows the REAL times his bike runs. Not some made up "I calculated some figures and had my timer set on my oven and I run this and he runs that" bla bla bla.

I am glad you are selling your ds. Because nobody is as smart as you when it comes to drag racing.....And to be honest with you I wouldn't give you $5000 for that thing. I would have more fun on a stock ds, then yours because it will actually stay running for more then 4 passes.

Think of me how you want. I am done anyway.....
